Details of Disappearance:
A popular Washington, D.C. radio host named Horn vanished in 1977. He was last seen in D.C. and missed when he didn’t pick up his son from the airport. His burned-out car was later found in North Carolina.

Horn had recently left his radio job to start his own business. He also faced tax evasion charges. Police suspected foul play, with rumors circulating that he’d been murdered and his body dismembered. These rumors were never proven.

Horn’s former business partner, Linwood Gray, a man with a criminal history, went to trial on drug and tax charges in 1979. Gray claimed innocence, saying his money came from robberies, not drugs. He also testified that Horn was involved in drug dealing and possibly had a hit put out on him. However, Gray also said he believed Horn had escaped to the Netherlands. Gray was found guilty of tax evasion but not the drug charges.

Despite the suspicions and rumors, what happened to Horn remains a mystery.
