- Details of Disappearance:
- On January 23, 1991, a woman named Krummel left her home in Medford, New Jersey, and disappeared. She told her family she’d be back for dinner, but she never returned.
The next day, her car was found at a library a few miles away. Her belongings – purse, keys, money, everything – were inside, along with a note saying she loved her family but couldn’t go on. Dogs tracked her scent to a nearby lake, leading police to think she might have taken her own life. However, her body was never found, and her sister didn’t believe she would have drowned herself.
Another theory is that she left to avoid suffering from Huntington’s Disease, a terrible illness that had killed several of her family members, including her mother.
No one knows for sure what happened to Krummel. Police investigated, but they found no evidence of foul play. The case remains a mystery.
