- Details of Disappearance:
- On August 15, 1995, a woman named Borowski left her home in Swanton, Ohio, to go to work. She was a salesperson. Her teenage kids were asleep and reported her missing when she didn’t come home.
The last time anyone saw her was around 10 a.m. that day, withdrawing money from an ATM with her ex-boyfriend, John Noser. They had recently broken up.
Two days later, police found Noser at a campsite in Middletown, Ohio, driving Borowski’s car. The car’s steering column was broken. Near the campsite, police found burned remains of Borowski’s clothes and jewelry.
Noser was initially charged with stealing the car, but the charge was dropped. He claimed Borowski gave him the car and said she’d been killed in a drug deal. Police searched, but couldn’t find her body.
Years later, in 1999, Noser was charged with Borowski’s murder. Police believed he killed her out of jealousy. He was convicted in 2000 and sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
Borowski’s body has never been found, but the circumstances strongly suggest she was murdered.
