Details of Disappearance:
On November 22, 1985, Ognjan and his friend David Tyll left Michigan to go deer hunting. They were last seen near Houghton Lake, Michigan, where they cashed a check. They were driving Tyll’s black Ford Bronco (license plate 447 HRZ), but neither the truck nor the men were ever seen again. They never reached their hunting destination, and didn’t buy hunting licenses.

Eighteen years later, two brothers, J.R. and Coco Duvall, were arrested and convicted of their murders. Witnesses claimed to have seen the Duvalls beat Ognjan and Tyll to death outside a bar and later heard them boast about feeding the bodies to pigs. These witnesses were afraid to come forward sooner because of threats from the Duvalls.

However, there was no physical evidence linking the Duvalls to the crime. The main witness also admitted to being heavily intoxicated at the time. Despite this lack of evidence, the Duvalls were found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. The case is detailed in the 2006 book, *Darker Than Night*.
