- In March 2017, Alicia Stallworth disappeared. She was last seen by her family on March 27th after dropping off her daughters. She went to work and called to say she was coming home, but never arrived. Her family reported her missing.
Three days later, on March 29th, Stallworth herself contacted the police to cancel the missing person report, claiming she’d been in Alabama with her boyfriend and couldn’t contact her family due to phone issues. This was unusual, as she was very close to her family. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
On April 2nd, police stopped Stallworth’s car. Her boyfriend, Antwon Montrex Smith, was driving with another missing woman, Taleah Durm, inside. Stallworth’s purse and phone were in the car. Smith was arrested for drug possession and other offenses. He claimed he’d dropped Stallworth off at another man’s house, but wouldn’t provide more details.
Smith has a violent past. In 2010, he was charged with capital murder for the deaths of two men in Alabama, a case believed to be related to drugs. He’s awaiting trial.
Stallworth’s family suspects Smith was involved in her disappearance, describing him as controlling and potentially abusive. While the police investigated her disappearance as a missing person case, her family believes she’s been harmed. The case remains unsolved.
