- Details of Disappearance:
- In July 2000, a nightclub promoter named Carrillo vanished from Honolulu, Hawaii. His girlfriend last saw him at Evolution Waikiki nightclub around 2:00 a.m. on July 4th. A bouncer at the club kidnapped his girlfriend, driving her against her will before letting her go.
That same night, there was a fight between Carrillo and the bouncer. A witness saw someone who looked like Carrillo get beaten up on the street. The bouncer claimed he drove Carrillo to the airport so he could fly to Las Vegas, but there’s no record of Carrillo boarding a plane.
Police found a stained carpet near the club, but tests on the stain weren’t made public. The club had some minor past issues, mostly noise complaints.
Even though the bouncer was arrested for kidnapping the girlfriend, no one was ever charged with anything related to Carrillo’s disappearance. Despite the investigation, what happened to Carrillo remains a mystery.
