- In January 2010, a woman named Monroe disappeared. She was last seen leaving an apartment in Hartford, Connecticut, after going to the apartment from a motel in Berlin, Connecticut where she lived with her boyfriend and their son. This was on January 20th, at 3:30 PM. She left some belongings at the apartment.
Her boyfriend was arrested soon after, but for something unrelated to her disappearance. He didn’t report her missing, saying he thought she’d just left. Monroe’s friends didn’t report her missing until nine days later.
Monroe is from Waterbury, Connecticut, and often visited Hartford and New Haven. She didn’t have a car. While she sometimes disappeared for a few days, she’d always get in touch eventually. This time, she never did. The case remains unsolved.
