- Burke disappeared on April 14, 2003, in Nespelem, Washington. He was last seen around 7:40 pm at a video store. Earlier that day, he’d argued with his mom, but later returned with a gift and apologized. He said he’d be back, but he never was.
His family heard rumors that he was murdered by two people in the mountains. They claimed a fight broke out over a flat tire, and Burke was beaten to death. The FBI looked into it, but couldn’t prove it.
Burke’s family thinks someone might have killed him because he’d recently gotten a lot of money. He left behind a young daughter. Police think he might be in northern California or the Portland, Oregon area, but his case is still a mystery.
