- Details of Disappearance:
- On March 23, 1998, Tiffany Hammel vanished from her Houston, Texas apartment. A coworker dropped her off around 2:00 p.m. Her boyfriend saw her an hour later, but when he returned around 6:00 p.m., she was gone. She’s never been seen since.
The day before, Hammel had a fight with a man named Jose Arenales at her part-time job, Nick’s Sports Bar and Grill. Police aren’t sure if this is related to her disappearance.
Because Hammel was very close to her daughter, police don’t think she left on her own. She had a difficult relationship with her boyfriend (her daughter’s father), but he hasn’t been charged with anything.
Hammel’s mother held a memorial service for her in 2006. The case remains a mystery.
