Details of Disappearance:
On September 15, 2012, Mr. Mann left his home in Port Orchard, Washington, around 10:00 a.m. He took his fishing gear and may have gone fishing. Later that day, around 1:00 p.m., he was seen buying gas in nearby South Kitsap; the gas station attendant said he seemed disoriented.

Two days later, on September 17th, he tried calling his daughter, but the call was unclear due to bad cell service. The call came from the Jefferson County area. His phone was turned off after that.

His blue 2007 Ford Focus was also missing. It was later found abandoned on a rough, difficult-to-reach mountain road near Quilcene in Jefferson County – about ten miles from the Tunnel Creek Trail. His fishing gear was in the car, and the car’s undercarriage was badly damaged, likely from driving on the rough terrain.

Mr. Mann wasn’t known to be suicidal or mentally unwell. However, he was new to the Washington area (having moved from Oregon the year before) and wasn’t familiar with the roads.

Despite the clues, what happened to Mr. Mann remains a mystery.
