Hope disappeared in Hernando Beach, Florida in 1982. He was last seen leaving a restaurant with a container of mustard greens. His uncle, who had dinner with him, said he seemed fine and planned to see his girlfriend.

A week later, Hope’s locked truck was found at his real estate office, with his belongings inside – unusual for him. Eight months after that, clothes and shoes were found nearby. His family thinks they were his, but not what he was wearing the night he vanished.

Hope was a well-known local businessman and politician. He’d recently resigned from a government position and had a reputation for dating many women. His ex-wife suspected he was murdered by a jealous lover.
