- In the fall of 1988, a woman named Duvall disappeared from the Manitowoc, Wisconsin area. Her ex-husband reported her missing on October 1st. He said she was a good mom and it was very unlike her to leave her two sons. Even though he had custody, the boys usually saw their mom on weekends. He and Duvall remained friendly after their divorce four years earlier.
At the time she disappeared, Duvall lived on a dairy farm with a man named John Neuser. Neuser stayed at the farm for many years after Duvall vanished, only moving in 2006. Police searched his old property in 2007, looking for clues. Neuser is considered a person of interest in the case, but he’s not a suspect and hasn’t been charged with anything.
Duvall’s Social Security number hasn’t been used since 1988, and she’s had no contact with authorities since she disappeared. The case remains a mystery.
