Details of Disappearance:
Cheryl disappeared in Secane, Pennsylvania on July 12, 1977. She was walking to a friend’s house but never arrived. Police investigated and heard rumors she was killed by a motorcycle gang and her body thrown into Tinicum Marsh. This was supported by the fact that several other teenage girls with links to biker gangs had been murdered around the same time, some found in the marsh.

Cheryl was dating a man named David Thompson. He wasn’t in a gang, but he was later convicted of assaulting a member of a different motorcycle gang (the Warlocks). He’s a possible suspect, but nobody knows where he is now.

Although Cheryl wasn’t directly involved with biker gangs, her boyfriend and a friend of hers had connections to them. Her mom said she was rebellious and had run away before, but she always called. This time, she didn’t.

Cheryl’s disappearance is still a mystery. Police suspect she was murdered.
