- Mustafa, a hard-working mom in Phoenix, Arizona, vanished on the night of May 10-11, 2017. She was last seen leaving her job at Walgreens. The next day, police found her car at home, but her purse, wallet, and ID were in the bathroom. Her phone was wet; her boyfriend claimed to have accidentally dropped it.
Mustafa had a teenage daughter in Jordan and an eight-month-old daughter at home. She was close to her family and wouldn’t have left them without warning – she hadn’t missed a day of work in 11 years.
Her boyfriend, Robert John Interval Jr., was arrested for her murder. He’d called her at work the day she disappeared, accusing her of cheating and threatening to kill her. After she vanished, he gave conflicting stories to the police and quickly tried to sell her car and other belongings. Police found possible bloodstains in their home.
Despite claiming innocence, Interval was convicted of murder in 2019 and sentenced to 25 years in prison. Authorities believe Mustafa’s body may be in a large landfill in Buckeye, Arizona, but a three-month search found nothing. The evidence strongly suggests she was murdered.
