- Details of Disappearance:
- On August 19, 1977, Lirette left a bar (the Silver Dollar Lounge) in Brewton, Alabama, around midnight. He was supposed to drive a company truck back to his home in New Orleans. He never made it. The truck was later found wrecked in Emory, Texas – a long way from both Brewton and New Orleans – with someone else in it. Lirette disappeared and has never been found. Louisiana police are still trying to figure out what happened.
