Details of Disappearance:
On June 29, 1984, Cindy and her husband Norman had a terrible fight at their Wisconsin home. A neighbor saw Cindy injured and screaming, and called the police. Norman told the police Cindy had run away, and they didn’t search the house. Cindy vanished, leaving behind three children.

Later, Norman confessed to killing Cindy to a girlfriend, saying he’d strangled her and buried her body in a gravel pit. He was arrested for murder, but the charges were dropped because Cindy’s body was never found. Norman then moved away.

In 1990, he strangled another woman in Florida. Before police could arrest him, he killed himself in Texas. Even though there’s no body, Norman is still considered the main suspect in Cindy’s disappearance. Both Cindy and his Florida victim were planning to leave him before they were killed. Cindy has never been found.
