Details of Disappearance:
Cindy and Albert Lesko had a troubled marriage. They married in 1986 and had two children. Cindy reported domestic violence twice, but didn’t press charges. In 1994, she helped police catch Albert with drugs. Albert then beat her badly. They divorced, and Cindy got temporary custody of the kids and the house.

On October 23, 1994, Cindy spoke to a relative, worried because Albert was late bringing the kids home. Neighbors saw them fighting that night. Police think Albert killed Cindy, put her body in his truck, and possibly buried her near I-75 or their cabin. She vanished.

The next day, Cindy was reported missing. Her car was found abandoned days later, with her purse but no wallet or gun. Because she missed a court hearing, Albert got full custody.

In 2001, Albert was charged with murder, even though Cindy’s body was never found. He claimed innocence, but a friend testified that Albert wanted to “get rid of” Cindy. His children sided with him, saying they were asleep in the truck and didn’t hear anything. The jury found him not guilty. Cindy’s disappearance remains a mystery.
