Details of Disappearance:
In 1989, Cindy Ray and her parents, Jonathan and Janine, lived in Fresno, California. One morning, March 29th, Cindy was playing in their backyard and her dad left her alone for a while. When he came back, she was gone.

Nobody ever saw Cindy again. Her parents didn’t tell the police until April 1st, three days later. Janine explained she was scared to report it right away because her husband had a history of abusing her, and she feared he’d be blamed.

Jonathan was supposed to take a lie detector test, but he never showed up. Ten days later, police found Jonathan and Janine at a motel in Visalia; Jonathan was dead, and Janine was unconscious. It looked like they’d killed themselves. Janine survived but couldn’t tell police anything about what happened to Cindy.

Police searched everywhere but never found Cindy. They think something bad happened to her, but no one has ever been arrested.
