- Lambert vanished from Palm Springs in late 2008. Police soon arrested six people who were part of a group stealing identities. These people used Lambert’s information to steal his money, belongings, and even try to sell his house cheaply.
Initially, they were charged with theft and fraud. But later, they were also charged with murdering Lambert. One of the suspects agreed to testify against the others in exchange for a lighter sentence.
Eventually, four of the suspects were found guilty of first-degree murder and sent to prison for life. Sadly, Lambert’s remains (his skull and jawbone) weren’t found until years later, and officially identified in 2020.
