- Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Brown hair, blue eyes. Matney normally shaved his head at the time of his April 2002 disappearance. He has a tattoo of the Incredible Hulk on his upper right arm and a tattoo of Batman and Gotham City on his upper left arm.
- Details of Disappearance:
- On April 28, 2002, Matney disappeared. He was last seen at Confetti’s Sports Bar near Interstate 81 in Bristol, Tennessee. Witnesses saw him make a phone call, then talk to someone in another truck in the parking lot.
Five days later, his truck was found abandoned at the bar with his checkbook inside, but nothing else. His bank account hasn’t been used since. He made some phone calls before disappearing, but most of the numbers are unknown.
Police think he might have left with someone he knew. The case is still a mystery.
