- Buckley disappeared in Seattle on May 22, 2021. He sent a text around midnight saying he was going to “the lake,” likely Lake Union, where he often swam. He’s never been seen or heard from since. His phone, wallet, and shoes were left at his apartment, but his wetsuit and backpack were missing. Not much is known about what happened, but his family thinks he’s dead.
