- On his 43rd birthday, September 8, 2015, Lambert disappeared from his home in Wildwood, Missouri. He left a suicide note and a map of the huge Mark Twain National Forest (it’s 1.5 million acres!). A week later, his red and maroon 1997 Ford Ranger pickup truck (license plate 8WJ-107) was found abandoned at a campsite in the forest. There was no sign of him. While his home was in Wildwood, some police reports say he was last seen in nearby Clayton. He’s never been found. The case is still a mystery.
