- On October 2, 2008, Holly McCormick left her job at a jail in Carlsbad, New Mexico, at 2:30 a.m. She was upset and left early without permission. She briefly contacted her family around 8:00 a.m. that morning, but hasn’t been seen or heard from since.
Her phone last pinged near a Walmart in Carlsbad. Her car, purse, and other belongings were found at her home, but her mountain bike was gone. The car was later taken away because she couldn’t make payments. She’d recently broken up with a co-worker and might have been unhappy about it, but whether that’s related to her disappearance is unknown. The police still haven’t figured out what happened to her.
