Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Blond hair, blue eyes. David’s nickname is Dave. He has a tattoo of an older model Mercury car on his right arm. He had a beard and mustache at the time of his disappearance.
Details of Disappearance:
On December 13, 2006, David and his father, Ernest, vanished from their property in Brown Township, Ohio. Ernest had told a friend he was going to physical therapy, and asked the post office to hold a check for him. Both men disappeared, along with Ernest’s truck and David’s red 1997 Mercury Tracer (license plate DD18QL).

They were reported missing two days later. Police found Ernest’s truck abandoned near his home; his blood was on his glasses found inside.

A key suspect emerged: Randy Kedigh, who owed Ernest money and had argued with him. Kedigh had a long criminal record. Witnesses saw Kedigh driving a car that looked like David’s missing Tracer around the time of the disappearances. He’d cut up the car and taken parts to a junkyard. Police found parts matching the Tracer’s VIN at his sister’s shed.

A search of Kedigh’s home found drugs, leading to a prison sentence for violating his probation.

David was a Marine veteran. Both he and his father were physically capable. They left behind money and a check, and haven’t used their phones since disappearing. Police believe they were murdered, but the case remains unsolved.
