- Mullen vanished in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 26, 1996. Her car was gone too. Nearly nine years later, in July 2005, her car was found in the Nueces River. Her body was inside, but it took until late August to confirm it was her. Police still don’t know how or why she died; the case is still being investigated.
