- Johnstone vanished from Staten Island on February 15, 2005. Three years later, in September 2008, his body was discovered in Great Kills Park. It was hidden in thick bushes until a wildfire burned them away, revealing the remains. Johnstone often went to Great Kills Park to fish, sail, and play sports. Police don’t think anyone killed him, but they still don’t know how he died and are still looking into it.
