Details of Disappearance:
On March 28, 2017, Maya Puente left a bar (Longhorn Bar & Grill) near Friars and Mission Gorge Roads around 10-11 pm after a night out with friends. She’d had an argument with her boyfriend and said she was going for a drive to give him time to leave their home. She disappeared.

Her car – a black 2013 Hyundai (license plate 6XRP212) – was found abandoned and illegally parked on April 5th near cliffs in Ocean Beach, California. Her purse, keys, ID, shoes, and socks were still inside. The car had parking tickets, the first one issued at 6:00 am on March 29th.

Maya was known to frequent Ocean Beach bars and was friendly with people from all walks of life. It was very unusual for her to disappear without a word, especially since she had a steady job of 15 years.

Police investigated her boyfriend, but he had an alibi and passed a lie detector test. Despite this, her family still suspects him. To this day, Maya’s disappearance remains a mystery.
