Details of Disappearance:
In March 1997, a woman named Vanluven disappeared from Roseburg, Oregon. She was last seen with her boyfriend, Michael John “Cowboy Mike” Braae. Braae is a suspected serial killer. He was later convicted of raping and murdering a woman in Washington state and given a 48-year prison sentence. He was also accused of trying to murder another woman, but the case ended without a conviction.

Police believe Braae is responsible for Vanluven’s disappearance, as well as the disappearance of another woman, Susan Ault, and the murder of Velina Larson. While he’s the main suspect in Vanluven’s case, there isn’t enough evidence to charge him. Her disappearance is considered suspicious, and the case remains unsolved.
