- On March 17, 2000, Baxter left her job at a Dictaphone factory in Melbourne, Florida. She told her three daughters she was going home to Palm Bay to get them pizza, but she never showed up.
A coworker saw her drive away in her car – a blue 1988 Chevrolet Corsica (4 doors) with license plate XMJ51N – around 4:30 p.m. The coworker also saw an SUV that seemed to follow Baxter’s car.
Four months later, Baxter’s car was found abandoned at an apartment building in Melbourne, close to Palm Bay.
Police think something bad happened to Baxter because she would never disappear without telling anyone. She was from the Philippines. The case is still a mystery.
