- A woman named Hopkins vanished in Detroit on March 1, 2000. Nearly two months later, on April 18th, a burned body was discovered; the victim had been shot. Police couldn’t identify the body at the time. In 2017, they dug up the remains and tested the DNA. Finally, in 2019, the DNA matched Hopkins’ children, confirming the body was hers. The police are still trying to solve her murder.
