Details of Disappearance:
On April 28, 1973, a young boy named Delvacchio and his grandfather, Isley McCullough, disappeared in Gadsden County, Florida. They were last seen in McCullough’s taxi with two young Black men.

Later that day, the taxi was found abandoned near a church. There was blood inside, the taxi’s money box was empty ($450 missing), and a bullet was in the seat. Delvacchio and his grandfather were gone.

Two days later, some of Delvacchio’s belongings—his undershirt, a club, and a hammer—were found neatly placed under a tree nearby.

Police investigated, but many witnesses have since died, and evidence is lost. They suspect the grandfather may have been involved with illegal moonshine makers and had a threat on his life. A moonshine operation was raided the day before the disappearance.

Because of the blood, the missing money, and the bullet, police believe Delvacchio and his grandfather were murdered, but the case remains unsolved.
