- Details of Disappearance:
- On March 25, 1983, Desiree disappeared near her home a few miles outside of Kosse, Texas. She lived with her mom and older sister; her parents were divorced but her dad still saw her regularly.
Her mom dropped her and her sister off near their house around 1 p.m. Her sister walked home, and Desiree followed the truck her mom drove away in. A short time later, Desiree vanished.
Their house was in a remote, wooded area. Police searched the woods thoroughly, but found nothing. Desiree has never been found, and investigators believe she was likely abducted by someone who wasn’t a family member.
