Details of Disappearance:
In July 1979, Chorba’s family reported her missing. She’d been living in Michigan and was having a secret relationship with a married man, Ollie. They had a young son together and she was pregnant with another child. She also had a teenage daughter.

Ollie told police Chorba went to California on a flight that crashed on May 25th, 1979, killing everyone on board. However, investigators determined Chorba wasn’t on that flight.

Years later, Ollie’s wife, Judy, confessed that Ollie had actually killed Chorba. She said he buried Chorba in a hidden grave in the woods after shooting her. Judy testified against him at trial.

Ollie always claimed Chorba was still alive and went to California, but he was found guilty of second-degree murder in 2001. Chorba’s body has never been found. Her daughter, who never believed her mother had abandoned her, is still alive today.
