Details of Disappearance:
A’Shia’s father, Kenneth, told police she was kidnapped on February 11th. He said a taxi driver robbed them, driving off with A’Shia still inside. But police found his story didn’t match the facts.

They suspected Kenneth had actually killed A’Shia accidentally at their home, trying to quiet her crying. He feared getting arrested because he was wanted for breaking probation. He then threw A’Shia’s body in a dumpster. The body was likely destroyed at a waste plant.

Kenneth confessed on tape, but the tape was accidentally erased. Even though there wasn’t complete proof, he was charged with murder. He eventually pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, involuntary manslaughter, meaning he didn’t admit guilt but agreed there was enough evidence to convict him. A’Shia’s body was never found.
