- Details of Disappearance:
- On June 10, 2006, a woman named Mauldin went scuba diving in the Gulf of Mexico near Florida. She was with her husband, stepdaughter, and friends on a boat. The dive was in calm water, only 28 feet deep, and lasted 40 minutes. Everyone else came back up, but Mauldin never resurfaced.
Despite a big search, no one ever found her or her diving equipment. The Coast Guard said it was an accident, but Mauldin’s mother thinks something bad happened to her and plans to sue her husband and the dive shop that sold Mauldin diving gear even though she wasn’t qualified to use it. The mystery remains unsolved.
