- In November 1982, a young woman named Higgins vanished from Costa Mesa, California. She’d recently graduated high school and lived in an apartment there, but she disappeared, leaving her pet dog and bird behind. Higgins had been in Las Vegas with a friend, who came back to California alone, saying she didn’t know what happened to Higgins. Higgins has never been seen or heard from again. It’s especially strange because she was supposed to inherit $100,000 when she turned 40 (in 2002), but she never claimed the money. Police think something bad might have happened to her.
