- Martin disappeared from Biloxi, Mississippi in 2001. He lived at the Lexington Apartments and liked going to nightclubs. He didn’t have a car, so he relied on others for rides. His family last heard from him in March 2001; he missed his sister’s wedding. His mom reported him missing in September after searching for him.
Martin had a troubled past. He grew up in Georgia, struggled in school, and joined a gang at 17. After a near-fatal beating by the gang, he left and moved to Mississippi with his family. He worked construction for his dad. After his parents’ divorce in 1999, he moved back and forth between Georgia and Mississippi, and didn’t have a stable home. Before he disappeared, he mentioned possibly returning to Georgia.
Since then, there’s been no sign of him: no driving activity, no job, and no contact. His family doesn’t think he left the country. They fear he was murdered, but there’s not enough evidence to solve the case. It remains a mystery.
