- In 1995, Brittany and Jeremiah were taken away from their mom by their dad, Thomas Dyman, who didn’t have legal custody. For many years, they lived secretly with their dad and stepmom in Montana, using different names. When they were found in 2011, Thomas was arrested. But Brittany, now a grown-up, said she was fine and didn’t want to press charges. She didn’t want anything to do with her mom, either. Because Brittany didn’t want to get involved, the state of Tennessee dropped the kidnapping case, and Thomas was let go.
