- Details of Disappearance:
- Crystal went missing in Louisiana in February 2013. She’d been living in a women’s shelter and had a troubled past with her husband, Sean. They had been married for 16 years and had four children together. Before she disappeared, Crystal got a court order to protect herself and her kids from Sean because he had abused her. She filed for divorce shortly before vanishing.
Sean also disappeared a couple of weeks after Crystal. He ran to Brazil, pretending to be a U.S. soldier to get a visa. Years later, in 2020, he was arrested in Brazil for assaulting his new wife. He was about to be sent back to the U.S. to face murder charges in Crystal’s case when he was found dead in his jail cell – it looks like suicide.
Crystal’s body has never been found, but because of the circumstances – especially Sean’s behavior – police believe someone harmed her.
