- Curtis went missing from Blue Lake, California in May 1990. At first, people thought he ran away, but later police thought someone had harmed him. In December 2008, a family friend, Steven Daniel Hash, was accused of killing Curtis. Hash tried to admit guilt right away, but the judge wouldn’t let him. Hash then showed police where Curtis’s body was buried – a shallow grave near Blue Lake. He could go to prison for up to 12 years.
