Details of Disappearance:
David Pishon, a former Concord, NH police officer, mysteriously vanished on July 5, 2000. After a decade on the force, he retired due to multiple sclerosis in 1994. He then worked as a security guard at a now-defunct auto parts factory in Seabrook, NH.

Pishon lived in a motel and struggled with depression and alcohol abuse, even losing a previous security job because of drinking. On July 4th, he seemed fine at work. However, his car mysteriously caught fire in the parking lot around 2 AM. He called the fire department and appeared calm.

He was seen walking around the factory around 3:15 AM, but then vanished. His belongings – lunch, cigarettes, and contact lenses – were left in the guard shack. Two cars sped away from the plant around the same time, but their connection to his disappearance is unknown.

The car fire was suspicious; there was no sign of arson, but also no indication of an accident. Pishon had expressed concerns about illegal activity at the factory and feared for his safety due to a coworker’s threat. His gun, legally owned, was found in his motel room untouched.

There’s no sign of suicide; he was planning a family vacation and a new car purchase. No activity was detected on his bank accounts or social security number after his disappearance.

A coworker, Robert April, became a person of interest after threatening to kill someone in 2008 and claiming he’d killed Pishon. However, he was never charged. Though some speculate his past police work or affairs might be connected, there’s no evidence to support that.

Despite extensive searches, David Pishon remains missing. He was declared legally dead in 2008, but his case is still unsolved.
