- Details of Disappearance:
- Cynthia disappeared from her home in Wheaton, Maryland, on June 30, 2003. She spoke to her dad in Brazil that day, as usual, but no one has seen or heard from her since. Her sister lives nearby in Wheaton, but hasn’t seen her either. Most of her family is in Brazil.
Police think her husband, Roberto Braga, might be involved. In 2006, he was arrested for threatening someone with a knife, but those charges were dropped. Even though he’s a person of interest, he hasn’t been connected to Cynthia’s disappearance. The case is still unsolved, and police believe something bad happened to her.
