- On April 17, 1992, Duy went swimming with friends at Bean Hollow State Beach near Half Moon Bay, California. He’d traveled there from San Jose that morning. Around 4:00 p.m., a strong current pulled him out to sea. The police searched the ocean, but couldn’t find him. They think he drowned, but he’s still officially listed as a missing person.
