- Details of Disappearance:
- On Valentine’s Day 1984, a woman named Thornton disappeared in Florida. She drove her tan car to drop off her husband at work. When she didn’t return to pick him up, he called the police.
The next day, her car was found stuck in the mud, about 25 miles from her home. A few weeks later, her purse, umbrella, and glasses were found nearby in a swampy area.
Thornton was never found. Police think she might have gotten lost and her car got stuck. Because of this, they believe she died soon after she went missing. The case remains a mystery.
