- On December 13, 1969, a woman named Baird disappeared from Atlanta, Georgia. She was in the Army but on leave at the time. She went to a party and left with three men. Nobody has seen or heard from her since. Her car, a Volkswagen Beetle, was found empty near a Georgia road. No one saw her walking nearby. The Army said she was absent without leave (AWOL). She had a two-year-old daughter. The police have never solved her disappearance.
