- When she disappeared in 2001, Plunkett was living in a storage shed she’d made into a home near Paramount Boulevard in Paramount, California. A fire destroyed the shed on December 12, 2001, but her body wasn’t found. Police don’t think she died in the fire, but believe losing her home was very upsetting for her. She might be in a mental health facility or homeless now. Before she disappeared, she often visited Barstow, California, and Las Vegas, Nevada. No one has heard from her since.
