- Details of Disappearance:
- Valdez disappeared on April 29, 2003. He was last seen leaving a bar called Gilbert’s Lounge in Van Horn, Texas, around 2:00 a.m. His red Chevy truck was found abandoned nearby later that day.
A witness saw Valdez in a fight with four other men the night he vanished. Police know who the men were, but three are dead. The fourth man is in a Mexican prison; he escaped to Mexico after being convicted of child molestation in the US and sentenced to 189 years in prison.
Valdez often went to Juarez, Mexico, and worked at a truck stop. Because of the fight and his disappearance, police think something bad might have happened to him.
