- On Christmas Eve 2010, Turner went for his usual walk in Mesa, Arizona, and vanished. His body wasn’t found until almost nine years later, in January 2019, on a faraway part of Red Mountain, a mountain just outside Mesa. That mountain is owned by the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community.
