- On October 1, 1985, a woman named Matheson vanished from outside her Miami apartment building. It was 11 pm. She’s never been seen or heard from again.
Her apartment was locked, clean, and her coffee cup and spoon were in the sink. Importantly, she left her puppy behind—her family says she wouldn’t do that. Her tan 1977 Honda (license plate GBB800) was also gone.
The car was found abandoned a few miles away, almost two months later (December 4th). It had been parked in the same spot for a week, but residents said they’d seen it in different places in the parking lot for a whole month before that.
Matheson was a baker at a local elementary school, known for being reliable and on time. She’d moved to Miami from Ohio 15 years earlier after her husband passed away to be closer to family.
The mystery of what happened to her remains unsolved.
