Details of Disappearance:
On March 23, 2001, Lovett disappeared from Mountain City, Tennessee, after arguing with her boyfriend. She was last seen using pay phones at Big Louis’s Market and later at a bar.

Years later, in 2012, serial killer Frederick Phillip Hammer confessed to killing her. Hammer, convicted of four murders but claiming responsibility for seventeen, said Lovett (who had dated his son) called him for a ride from Big Louis’s Market. He claimed he killed her and left her body in Ashe County, North Carolina.

However, police haven’t found any evidence to back up Hammer’s story, so they aren’t sure if he’s telling the truth. Lovett’s disappearance remains a mystery.
